THE COLONEL MOVIE - PRODUCTION PLAN

Since 2009, writer, producer, Tim Williams has been on a mission to make THE COLONEL into a timeless movie. Through countless drafts, relentless editors, and screenplay contests, Williams’ script has been honed and polished to be ready for production. In 2016, Williams formed The Colonel Films LLC to make a short and a feature film, THE COLONEL. That same year, Williams produced THE COLONEL short film that was invited to multiple film festivals, receiving top honors as Best Narrative Short and Best Trailer at the 2017 GI Film Festival in Washington, DC. In 2021, with no marketing, the trailer for the short film has been viewed more than 1.28 million times on YouTube with audiences clamoring to watch the full movie.

Tim Williams will serve as writer, director, and producer. Williams’ skills as a storyteller and filmmaker combined with his experience as Colonel’s student from 1971-78, allow him to tell this emotion-packed, true story from an eyewitness’s perspective.

The producers’ goal is to shoot THE COLONEL feature production in Summer/Fall of 2024. The producers have identified a multi-year pre-production, medium-range budget, and a 35-day shooting schedule to complete the film.

The producer has enlisted multiple production specialists who are ready to begin pre-production. Casting, locations, costumes, and crewing will start upon completion of securing necessary funds. For more information, please contact us.
